Lacy lulu: You are being so good. I probably would have chewed on someone. Dawson gets his ears cleaned all the time. He just stands there and takes it. I am not sure what is up with that.

Abby can really relate to your fear of ear cleaning. She used to fight me every step of the way, shake and cower. We started telling her she'd get a treat as soon as it was over. Plus I changed the ear remedy, and now she actually wags her tail when I say we have to do ears, then she can have a treat. The opportunist Rosie stands nearby, wagging happily because she always gets a treat too. She loves it when Abby needs her ears treated- now nail trimming is another story.

I'm with you, Lacylulu! I hate having my ears cleaned too. In fact, I hate having anything done to me. I hate the bath. I hate having my paws waxed. I can't stand having my nails trimmed (I get really nasty!). I hate getting groomed. And I hate having drops put in my eyes. Just be thankful that you don't have to put up with this last one. It's because the air is so dry here in winter that my eyes get irritated sometimes.
I hope you got lots of treats after the ordeal was finally over!
