April the 22nd is earth day.....
The first annual Earth day was celebrated in 1970, and was founded by senator Gaylord Nelson...to be a day for all communties around the world to to renew their commitment to make the world a cleaner, safer, healthier place for every dog, cat, horsie, hammie, rabbit and all living things...
Following the northern hemiphere's rejuvenating Spring equinox , and as the motivating sun forms a supportive trine with earthy Taurus , this is the perfect moment to embrace your reponsibility to ur community -- and our planet--bye getting involved in making this world a better place for years to come...
If you pertake of this challenge, let me know in comments...if u can take picturs of what, where and how u did...
thanks, "the hudsons"

Wow that is very cool challenge. I will try and think of something I can do. Picking up my scavenger pile might be a good place to start, uh? That is a very pretty birdie

Happy Earth Day!! PL2 says she remembers the first one!!!!!! Love A+A
Recycle, reuse. New lightbulbs that save energy. Reusable grocery sacks. Shaklee cleaning products. Just a few of the things we do to try to help.
We did Earth Hour. I slept by candle-light. Maybe for Earth Day I can conserve energy and sleep a lot more.

Happy Earth Day Rocky, Bear, and angel Lacylulu.
We needed a new lawnmower, and our dad decided to get one of those old-time push mowers for the exercise and an added bonus - it doesn't use any fuel except what mom and dad use pushing it, and it's so quite. With no motor, Rosie and I can walk right along with them while they're mowing - we don't have to go in the house anymore. Quite a change from our old mulching, self propelled mower. Good thing we don't have a bigger yard though as mom and dad aren't getting any younger. Mom said it gave her quite a cardio workout.

Master and mistress try and go green every day. He walks to work and back, she walks to the shops (apart from once a week for the heavy stuff), and we try to avoid global shopping. We try and support our local community with our shopping and by using local products. What else - we are vegetarian so use less crop resources, we cycle, we use public transport, we recycle - use freecycle to give away our unwanted stuff, we repair rather than buy new, we eat organically where and when we can, we grow some of our own food and we have our own chickens. I think that's enough.
Hope you are all well.

Hi there!
I don't know about taking part in the challenge as such, but I've just posted about my back to nature garden within a city.
It's wildlife friendly not just becaiuse I broke my wrist last Summer & I'm a lousy gardener but I like it to be wild & good for wildlife.

Happy belated earth day. My mom has just started to use re-usable grocery bags she also uses biodegradable poopy bags to pick up my doo-doo (and my brother's). She also spends a lot of time turning off the lights that my dad 2b inadvertantly leaves on!
